The IB Primary Years Programme® & the Reggio Emilia Approach®

Our Early Years programme offers a complementary combination of the IB® framework and the Reggio Emilia philosophy. The blended methodologies honour and celebrate the student-centred and constructivist approach, recognising learners as active participants in their learning.

Thanks to the IB Learner Profile Attributes & Key Concepts and the principles of the Hundred Languages of Children, young learners are encouraged to express their different intelligences whilst they grow international-mindedness and cultural relativism.

The environment is at the core of learners’ development. The classrooms and ateliers play a pivotal role as a third teacher, where children feel safe exploring, sharing, and expressing themselves.

Learning Through Play

Our Early Years teaching & learning is structured around the learning-through-play philosophy, which promotes the whole child’s development thanks to challenging and exciting play-based opportunities that encourage young children’s natural curiosity and wonder.

In addition to spontaneous play, teachers may facilitate pretend, mobile ,and Heuristic play as well. Through the world-renowned approach coined by the child psychologist Elionor Goldschmied, children will play and explore objects from the real world and deal with real-life contexts whilst developing countless abilities.
