The WINS Foundation was founded in 2011 with the name “Wanda e Francesco Formiga onlus” by the Founder of Wins, Paolo Pietro Formiga. Over the years, the Foundation has supported schools and deserving students that were in conditions of economic, physical or social disadvantage, in Italy and abroad, through the dispensing of scholarships, prizes and subsidies.
In 2021, the Foundation changed its name to “Fondazione WINS – Onlus” and continues to pursue educational and cultural projects in order to lay the foundations for a better and sustainable society, made up of responsible, knowledgeable and international-minded citizens.<\/p>\n

Paolo Pietro Formiga<\/h5>\n

Dr. Paolo Pietro Formiga – WINS CEO and founder – has a great expertise in the field of education. The Formiga family has been involved in international educational projects in Italy and abroad for 60 years. In 1958, the spouses Wanda and Francesco Formiga founded the first international school in Italy, the \u201cInternational School of Milano\u201d. In the following years, they founded other international schools throughout Italy. In 2017, Dr. Paolo Pietro Formiga – heir of Cavalier Francesco Formiga – founded WINS, thanks to the great experience gained over the years and taking up the new challenges of the school sector. WINS is characterized by the mission of educating students on the values of responsibility, care and cooperation, with the aim of letting students open up to the world, to multiculturalism and cultivate an international mindset from the earliest years of age. <\/p>\n

Giorgia Garola<\/h5>\n

Mother of three girls, Giorgia Garola is a second-generation entrepreneur of SCAM Company, an engineering company that has been designing, manufacturing and exporting heating engineering systems for power plants, petrochemical and shipbuilding plants since 1930.<\/p>\n

Before joining the family business, she chose to make a career in some multinational corporations. Today, her company is the place where she plans change and invests in innovation.
She was the president of Confindustria Piemonte Giovani<\/b> and, when she left for chronological age reasons, she was immediately called to be part of the national<\/b> commission on education of Confindustria.<\/b><\/p>\n

She is the Coordinator of Yes4To<\/b>, an inter-association panel of Turin entrepreneurs and professionals, where she has always dealt with guidance in schools and projects aimed at creating local opportunities to bring young people closer to the world of work and business.<\/p>\n

She has recently joined CEIP, the center for the internationalization of Piedmontese companies<\/b>, where she is contributing to develop the local businesses abroad.<\/p>\n

WINS MYP and DP students organized a Winter Charity Market, with a diverse range of goods, crafts, and treats. All the proceeds have been collected by Fondazione WINS and donated to the Association \u201cCamminare Insieme\u201d to support 40 mums and 80 children in need.
Camminare Insieme is a local association that provides healthcare to people in poverty and social marginalization, with particular attention to foreigners, pregnant women and children, for a more inclusive society.<\/p>\n

For the school year 2021-2022, the WINS Foundation made available four scholarships to attend the IB Diploma Programme, with total or partial coverage of the Tuition Fee.
The scholarships were addressed to talented students to allow them to obtain a diploma of high academic value, which is an important passport to continue studying in the best universities all over the world.<\/p>\n

La Fondazione WINS nasce nel 2011 con il nome \u201cWanda e Francesco Formiga onlus\u201d su iniziativa del Fondatore di Wins Paolo Pietro Formiga. Negli anni, la Fondazione ha sostenuto realt\u00e0 scolastiche e studenti meritevoli in condizioni di svantaggio economico, fisico o sociale, in Italia e all\u2019estero, attraverso l\u2019istituzione di borse di studio, premi e sussidi.
Nel 2021, la Fondazione cambia denominazione in \u201cFondazione WINS - Onlus\u201d, e continua a perseguire progetti educativi e culturali al fine di porre le basi di una societ\u00e0 migliore, sostenibile e fatta di cittadini responsabili, aperti al mondo, e competenti.<\/p>

Paolo Pietro Formiga<\/h5>

CEO e fondatore di WINS, il Dott. Paolo Pietro Formiga, ha alle spalle una grande esperienza in ambito formativo.
La famiglia Formiga da 60 anni si occupa infatti di progetti educativi internazionali in Italia e all\u2019estero. Nel 1958, i coniugi Wanda e Francesco Formiga fondarono la prima scuola internazionale in Italia, la \u201cInternational School of Milano\u201d. A tale Scuola, segu\u00ec negli anni successivi la fondazione di altre scuole internazionali in tutta Italia. Il Dott. Paolo Pietro Formiga, erede del Cavalier Francesco Formiga, forte della grande esperienza maturata negli anni e cogliendo le nuove sfide del settore scolastico, nel 2017 ha fondato WINS, che si caratterizza per l\u2019obiettivo di educare gli studenti ai valori della responsabilit\u00e0, comprensione e cooperazione, con l\u2019obiettivo di portare gli studenti ad aprirsi al mondo, alla multiculturalit\u00e0 e a coltivare un pensiero internazionale fin dai primi anni di vita.<\/p>

Mamma di tre bambine,\u00a0Giorgia Garola \u00e8 un\u2019imprenditrice di seconda generazione di SCAM Company, un\u2019azienda metalmeccanica che dal 1930 progetta, produce ed esporta impianti termotecnici per centrali elettriche, impianti petrolchimici e cantieristica.<\/p>

Prima di entrare nell\u2019azienda di famiglia ha scelto di fare gavetta in alcune multinazionali.\u00a0Oggi la sua azienda \u00e8 il luogo dove progetta il cambiamento e investe sull\u2019innovazione.<\/p>

Per l\u2019anno scolastico 21\/22 la Fondazione WINS ha messo a disposizione n.4 borse di studio di durata biennale, a copertura parziale e totale della retta, per frequentare il Diploma Programme dell\u2019International Baccalaureate\u00ae .
Le borse di studio erano destinate a studenti meritevoli per consentire loro di ottenere un diploma dall\u2019alto valore accademico, importante passaporto per le migliori universit\u00e0 del mondo.<\/p>

La Fondazione WINS organizza a Novembre 2021 un\u2019asta benefica a cura di Sant\u2019Agostino Casa d\u2019Aste.
Il ricavato dell\u2019asta benefica sar\u00e0 devoluto a due realt\u00e0 del nostro territorio: la Filarmonica Teatro Regio Torino e l\u2019AIL - Associazione Italiana contro le leucemie-linfomi e mieloma \u2013 sezione di Torino.
In particolare, 3.000\u20ac saranno destinati al progetto \u201cChair - Esperienza Orchestra\u201d per sostenere il percorso di alta formazione professionale di giovani talenti nell\u2019alveo delle attivit\u00e0 della Filarmonica TRT.
Una quota non inferiore a 5000\u20ac servir\u00e0 invece per finanziare parzialmente una borsa di studio promossa dall\u2019AIL. Il contributo \u00e8 destinato ad un giovane ricercatore che svolge attivit\u00e0 di assistenza e promozione dell\u2019attivit\u00e0 motoria nei bambini e adolescenti sottoposti a trapianto di cellule staminali emopoietiche (TCSE) durante il ricovero in Centro Trapianti Cellule Staminali Ematopoietiche (CTCS).<\/p>

WINSme Tutoring OneToOne \u00e8 un servizio che offre agli studenti un supporto individuale, necessario per approfondire o rinforzare la materia scelta, grazie ad autorevoli insegnanti IB.
Per ogni sessione venduta, WINSme doner\u00e0 l\u20191,5% del proprio fatturato alla Fondazione WINS. I fondi raccolti saranno devoluti per sostenere l\u2019equit\u00e0 e il diritto allo studio di studenti meno fortunati, promuovendo la scolarizzazione come strumento chiave per lo sviluppo umano, attraverso i Sustainable Develoment Goals<\/a><\/p>
